When: Apr 3 – Apr 11, 2027
Where: Molokai, Hawaii – Buddhist/Yoga Retreat Center
Co-Teachers: David Loy & Chuck Langdon
Yoga Teacher (optional yoga): Sara Greenlee
Is this the most dangerous time in human history? How can Buddhist teachings and practices help us understand what is happening today? How can we learn to respond appropriately? In accordance with its own emphasis on impermanence, Buddhism has transformed as it spread throughout Asia and the modern world. Today, we need to ask: How might our Buddhist traditions develop in response to these challenging times?
As a refuge from the crises of our modern world, this retreat will be held in noble silence with an emphasize on meditation with optional yoga. It will also include Dharma talks, group discussions, and the opportunity for individual interviews with the teachers, along with flexible outdoor practice in one of the most remote and beautiful places on Earth. Having only about 20 retreatants at the whole retreat center will allow us to develop a serene, intimate connection with this sacred land.
Participants are encouraged to read David Loy‘s latest book, with the same title as the retreat, available from Wisdom Publications.
